Office of Accessibility Resources and Services
Welcome to the Office of Accessibility Resources and Services (OARS)! Our office is making strides to ensure that students and service members with disabilities receive full access to ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ classrooms, programs, and events.
What is a disability? A disability is defined as a temporary or permanent condition that substantially limits one or more daily living activities. Daily living activities include, but are not limited to, caring for oneself, performing manual tasks, seeing, hearing, eating, sleeping, walking, standing, lifting, bending, speaking, breathing, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, communicating, and working.
OARS also accommodates students who are pregnant and nursing. Click on the OARS Registration link below to complete a student application which will allow our front desk staff to schedule an appointment to talk about how we can assist you. Not sure about how we can assist you? More information about possible accommodation requests is available at this link: /oars/pregnant-students/.
Our mission is to create an accessible and inclusive environment where a student’s educational potential is maximized through the fostering of independence, self-advocacy, and individual holistic development.
