Veterans and Military Resource Center

PURPOSE OF THE VETERANS听 AND MILITARY RESOURCE CENTER:

The 吃瓜爆料 is not just an outstanding听school, it’s also a military friendly campus!听 In order to maximize听the experience of our military connected students, we have established the 吃瓜爆料 Veterans and Military Resource Center.听 The听purpose of the听center is to assist student Veterans, currently serving military members, and their dependents to better understand and access the education benefits they have earned.听 In addition, our center assists veterans in their transition to the civilian college environment so that they may be more successful.听 Various forms of outreach will take place by our resource center throughout the year to aid our military-connected community towards success and a more听enjoyable听experience.

IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER:

  • Jan 22: Hamburger cookout 12-4 at the VMRC. Come as you can, when you can.
  • Jan 30: SVA meeting during X period (1:40-2:30), VMRC classroom.
  • Jan 30: Final day to drop a class and get 75% refund.
  • Feb 20:听Evening BBQ chicken followed by campus War Memorial brief and guest speaker. Food at 4:30, Presentation 5:30-6:30 at VMRC.
  • Mar 6: SVA meeting during X period (1:40-2:30), VMRC classroom.
  • Mar 11: SVA trip meeting, time TBD, VMRC classroom.
  • Mar 14-16: SVA camping trip, Buffalo River.
  • Mar 23-29: Spring Break
  • Apr 2, 3: Military and Veteran advanced registration.
  • Apr 3:听SVA meeting during X period (1:40-2:30), VMRC classroom.
  • Apr 7: Last day to withdraw from a class and get a W.
  • Apr 23:听2nd Annual Veterans Appreciation Dinner, Student Center Ballroom, 5:30-8
